w24 sunday review
i consider reducing my sources of stress
brain melted, not been tracking owt
there was a storm, but the people who know about storms had sent an alert to my phone before it so I had time to put the garden chairs and lighter pots away and told the runner bean plants to hold on tight, and as it turned out it was all noise and lights and the next day not even a foxglove was bent.
the dogs have been absolute poppets, of course - not enough walking because it's been too hot, but we play chasey ice on the living room floor (slidey!) and there was a bath, which always leads to house circuits at top speed. so their cardio is fine.
a few days before the storm I had weeded the front drive because I noticed that the rain wasn't draining away at full speed; it was pooling uphill of the weed-filled cracks. I can't be doing with that, I thought, quite clearly, and went out and hoiked it all out and into the compost. proud of that.
trying harder to stop checking the feeds. making myself a bulk news document through calibre to pick up every few days WILL help, eventually, as the habits shift, but most days I do go and look at the front pages and the tags. because one day the headline will be that... you know. never mind. but I don't need to check them as MUCH as I do.
i uploaded my fourth assignment (of seven) with some [ADD HERE] and [EXPAND ON THIS] left in because I am fine with indicating that I ran out of juice but too Formerly Gifted to remove them and give the impression that I didn't know it needed more. sounds like the kind of thing you bring up in therapy, doesn't it? someone should.
did my quarterly (should be weekly) Gather Matter Out Of Place In A Box And Sort Through It, realised that I genuinely do need more storage, went to the Site Where One Buys Those Things to see that the storage furniture I like was a) still in my basket from last time I had this realisation and b) lower in price than last time. so that's on its way.
skin is acting up, but the formal advice includes 'consider reducing your sources of stress' and the really effective way of doing that is illegal, so guess I'll have to wait it out.
