2025 w48 sunday review

I did not compose this on Sunday; I was doing month-end shit. Archiving planner pages, doing worksheets about 'what did not get completed and why I feel resistance', flipping through the Think About It Another Time box. You know how it is. Too busy throwing paper about to open the laptop.

What did not get done in November: anything that would have required me to be less cosy than reading fanfic under blankets and dogs. Why I feel resistance: it is effing cold outside the blankets. We do this every year. It's not that complicated. It is technically very normal and very sane to spend three months of the year napping and doing crafts that can be easily put down and picked up again, and just be okay with not getting anything Moved Forward, and I genuinely don't feel Work Ethic about it.

It would have been nice to get some of the house tasks done, but nobody's actually surprised that I didn't.

• I cut cardboard discs out of a delivery box & we base-coated two of them in acrylic paint and then brainstormed clock face designs separately. Mine is probably going to be white twiddles on green & he's hoping to do a landscape.
• i don't know if we have AA batteries. I know which box they'd be in if we did, I just haven't looked in it. isn't that strange? it's not as though we have an enormous house and they're in the east Wing or something.
• the neighbour cat now has a designated cat towel in the conservatory. she strolls around in the lawn in driving rain & then when she sees me at the back door she trots towards me calling out 'woe! woe! soggy! it was unavoidable! m'aidez!' & then I have to towel dry her while listing off all the dry places she could have sat out the rainstorm, including her own effing house. & she goes 'mrrrr :)'
• i did read through the backlog of magazines that had built up - with a notebook at my right hand to list writers & terms & topics & events to look up later. adding to my 'to read' in thestorygraph and not leaving myself a note of where I was recommended them, because that would be too sane.
• changed house insurance provider.

the glamour is overwhelming, I know, but somehow we prevail.
